RANT: Atom bank can’t do email right

I just received a mail from atom bank, because I signed up for their beta list. They complained that my email address was too long. When I signed up, I used a a 53 character long address, because I use unique addresses for each service I sign up to.

To join us, you will require an invite code which we will be sending out for Android soon. The app doesn’t seem to like your current email address as it is too long. If you could provide us with an alternative email address, that would be fantastic.

Really? You can’t handle completely valid e-mail addresses? And I should trust you doing banking right? Yeah, right. No. KKTHXBYE

    In addition to restrictions on syntax, there is a length limit on
    email addresses. That limit is a maximum of 64 characters (octets)
    in the “local part” (before the “@”) and a maximum of 255 characters
    (octets) in the domain part (after the “@”) for a total length of 320
